Think of WH as every shounen you’ve read in the past few years except with consistently strong artwork, an attractive, intelligent, funny *and* charismatic protagonist and interesting, well-rounded secondary characters. It manages to stay cohesive and engaging while never staying on the thematic note for too long.. While definitely a shounen, it offers a little something for everyone without trying *too* hard to pander to a particular kind of otaku. In short, it’s just plain better than whatever Jump is putting out these days.
Wow, I’m already on chapter 44 and let me say, I’m very impressed!! The artwork is amazing !! It feels like I’m about to go witch hunting ! And the action scenes are great !!

I understand how you feel about those “typical jump” mangas. Ecchi, love triangles, ecchi again, bad puns….I really can’t stand reading any of their new releases…especially a manga named police doctor…uh…something… I can’t even remember the name. T_T
